Our top five picks in London this half term

February 11, 2016

Half term is fast approaching and it’s the question on many parents / students lips, what shall we do for the week off?

Alongside the importance of ensuring students are keeping up to date with their homework, revision and assignments, it’s important to go out and enjoy some of the activities on offer around Bromley and London, and we’ve put together a round-up of our five best choices:

Imagine Children’s Festival, Southbank

Wednesday 10 February 2016 – Sunday 21 February 2016

For all those bookworms out there, this two week children’s festival, with a Road Dahl theme, will provide young people of all ages with activities in theatre, dance, music, film and comedy plus readings from some of the UK’s favourite authors. It is a ticketed event free of charge and is your opportunity to sign up as this event usually sells out –

View from The Shard, The Shard London

Throughout February

For one of the best views of the city in the city, there’s nowhere else to go but The Shard. With its fantastic stature and astounding facilities, the Shard building is unlike anything else in London. It’s definitely worth a trip –

Play-Doh Workshops, V&A Museum of Childhood

Monday 15 February 2016 – Friday 19th February 2016

To mark 60 years since the launch of ‘Play-Doh’, the V&A Museum of Childhood will be holding a week full of activities and fun, exploring the squish and squash of the plastic fun stuff. Tickets must be purchased quick as this workshop is popular. Tickets are free to redeem but required to attend, grab one now –

Kent Roller Disco, Swanley

Tuesday 16 February

Whack on your neon lycra and head along to the Kent Roller Disco. It’s fun for all the family! Safety and skate equipment is included in the price of your ticket, so all you need is crimped hair and some leg warmers and you’re good to go –

Softball Cricket fun day, Bromley Cricket Club

Thursday 18th February

The local cricket club is running its popular Softball Cricket Fun Day. For all of those children looking to enjoy a fun filled day of sport then this is a great choice for you. There’s no experience needed and the day is for everyone. All you need is a pair of trainers, some comfy clothing and a packed lunch to keep you full throughout the day. At just £20 per child it’s a steal –
